staying in 01
Cheers! A new week, a new series. For the next week or so, I'm going to be featuring images from another book I've been working on, featuring interior shots. Called 'Staying In', it is the other side of the coin from 'Stepping Out'! These photographs are moments captured in the main at home - the play of light on a wall, a reflection in a mirror, a misted window pane, details of objects resonant with memories.

Lovely stuff Ingrid: I look forward to your Indoor series with anticipation
anniedog: Thanks very much Chris - hope I don't disappoint!
Ingrid
Ingrid, this one is so delicate, the lighting and colors are superb, count me in for the next week....I am anxious to the rest of the serie
anniedog: Thanks so much Astrid - will do my best to keep up the standard!
Ingrid
I totally agree with Astrid...I'm looking forward to this series, Ingrid. You do them so well.
anniedog: Thank you Ginnie - hope you like them!
Ingrid
Very interesting soft warm light...I wonder who this is who seems very at home with a drink in their hand? richard
anniedog: I'll give you two guesses! You could probably class this one as a self-portrait.
Ingrid
I really like this !!
anniedog: Thanks so much.
Ingrid
I'm in too Ingrid!!
See you have drunk most of the wine, hope you saved us some Glad you are starting us of with a nice gentle shot to begin the week. Nice idea
anniedog: It tends to slip down a little too quickly these days! It seems to have grabbed everyone's attention anyway.
Ingrid
Warm and comforting.
anniedog: As wine should be - (unless it's white of course!)
Ingrid
Ah yes the best part about staying in - you can have a good drink ;o)
An alcoholic is someone you don't like who drinks as much as you do. Dylan Thomas ;o)
anniedog: Why go out to do it?! Love your quote (and he should know).
Ingrid
A lot of "finesse" in this shot Ingrid. Looking forward to see your next picture in this series
anniedog: Thank you Richard - glad you appreciate finesse.
Ingrid
Staying in - Stepping out. I like the titles of these series and look forward to the in between one, neither in or out. Like the Grand old Duke of York.
anniedog: I think that would tax even my powers of imagination!
Ingrid
What fun and so creative when stuck indoors. looking forward to these. Love the lighting and colour.
anniedog: It's surprising what turns into a good subject if you get the right lighting - nearly all of the photographs in this series have been taken without any artificial light, including this one.
Ingrid
This must be the proverbial goblet of fire. Very clever great -looking shot!
anniedog: Thanks Martin - it was simply light reflected on the wall, passing through a stained glass panel.
Ingrid
Champagne !! To celebrate happiness !
anniedog: Indeed! thanks for the comment.
Ingrid
Very unique and lovely shot.
anniedog: Thanks very much Jewlya.
Ingrid
quite creative. Well gone Ingrid
anniedog: Thanks for the comment and the visit.
Ingrid
Cool picture Ingrid! IS it a painting or shadow?
anniedog: It's the shadow of my hand on the wall - the colours are reflected by sunlight shining through a stained glass panel. The frame on the left is the edge of a framed painting out of shot. This is an observational shot, not set up (apart from me having a glass of wine in hand at the time!)
Ingrid Ingrid
I`m sat here just rubbing my hands with glee! What a great way to kick off your new series (and book). Love it! (:o)
anniedog: Thanks Roz - well I hope you enjoy them.
Ingrid
A creative shot Ingrid
I like the warm and soft colors
anniedog: Thanks Magnus - I like the colours too.
Ingrid
Looks like being a good series.
anniedog: I hope so Bill!
Ingrid
That's nice, very cleverly done. I like the muted colours and also the band of light across the image.
Book? Come on, spill the beans
anniedog: Thanks very much Ellie. These books are published by an internet publishers called blurb.com. You will see a direct link to my book on my blogs for the first week in January. I have just sent this second one off to be published yesterday, so should receive it in a week or two. It's really very easy to do and it's so nice to see your work in published form. And they are really very reasonable. You should try it!
Ingrid
Lovely shot, the colour is superb. Looking forward to the series.
anniedog: Thanks very much Aussie - I'll try to keep up the standard!
Ingrid
I like this, the strange shape of the hand, the bottom part of the glass looking not in straight line with the rest of the glass, the colours adding a mood...
anniedog: Thanks for the comment Aksel - it's amazing what a bit of sunlight on a wall can produce!
Ingrid
wow awsome dude
anniedog: Yes, we often perform them in our house - it's called opening a bottle of wine!
Ingrid
Cracking shot, Ingrid. The light & tones are lovely!
anniedog: Thanks Dave - natural light as always!
Ingrid
la foto es fabulosa, felicidades, tienes un blog fascinante. saludos
anniedog: I don't speak or write Spanish but I can understand some, so thank you for your comments. Sevilla is a beautiful city - I spent a holiday there a few years ago - lucky you to live there!
