I am happy to see that you are putting your trespassing allowance to good use smile
anniedog: Never get put off by a locked gate - I just shinned over it!

The light is very good in this one and the colors in this picture are in harmony, you spotted and captured this one very well, I like it very much. LOL at Martin....we all know how trespassing is so much fun...it adds to the picture (I think grin)
anniedog: Thanks Astrid. Yes, I have to say I do get a little frisson of excitement when I'm somewhere I shouldn't be!

This is an excellent composition Ingrid. I like the reflection of the trees
anniedog: Thanks Chris - it was only after I took it that I noticed the trees.

Nice lighting Ingrid. The reflections on the upper half gives feeling of refreshing country side...
anniedog: The lighting was superb that evening - I got some really lovely shots. The land opposite the farm is beautiful open countryside running up to a ridge in the background.
Ingrid
Also try a b/w version... nice shot smile
anniedog: I'll try it out, but I prefer to work in colour for SC as I think it displays much better on the screen. The backlighting really lights the image up whereas I prefer to see b/w as prints.

Windows, reflections, rust and the continuing theme. Value for money Ingrid, Really like this one
anniedog: I thought I'd pack them all in Bill! Thanks for the comment.

Very nice composition Ingrid. Even the refections seem to be outside time!
anniedog: Thank you Richard. That was precisely the atmosphere that I felt when I was there. It was as though time had stood still.
Ingrid
Nice composition with antic look.
anniedog: Thank you Gishan. Everything about the place was old and worn out.

NICE SHOT! oh stop it.

Back to grot...yum yum.
Good range of colour here, Ingrid, whith the brick echoing the hue of rust on the window. This upfront flat surface is punctured by glass with its light permitting qualities. We see depth and are drawn into this building to observe another window beyond. Then we see the reflection of a natural and green landscape that is behind us to contrast with that which is before.
anniedog: You have summed the picture up perfectly - full marks!
Ingrid
I wonder how this would look in B&W Ingrid?
anniedog: I will try it out but see my answer to mista skee's comment above for my views on b/w. thanks Bernie.

Love the old metal frames Ingrid. Nice textures and colours in this shot too.smile
anniedog: Yes, there was a lot of texture and rich colour to see.
Ingrid
Complex photograph with a lot going on in the window. Excellent.
anniedog: Thanks Mike - I felt pleased that I had got some detail in the window as the light was shining directly in the camera.

This is a very meaningful image, saturated with allusion and metaphor. The window acts as a signifier, with the viewers soul as the signified.
The glass is a bit mucky though.
anniedog: Well I couldn't have put it better myself! And there's nowt wrong with a bit of muck.

I love the look and textures here, Ingrid..and the light.
anniedog: Thank you Kathryn - the light was particularly inspiring that evening. I got some really good shots.
Ingrid
The colour here is just right Ingrid, plenty of detail on the outside and a hint of decay as well. Well seen.
anniedog: Thank you for your comment Les. It was a place perfect for photographing.
