What better than sitting in the late sun watching the world go by. Nice one Ingrid.
anniedog: thank you Les. Life is made of such moments.

Just look at 'em Ingrid. Identical twins with a sense of inferiority gazing that the image of the woman they always wanted to be...
anniedog: They are probably just wondering what happened to her right hand!
My favourite of your, "open your eyes" series so far.
anniedog: Thank you very much Jacquelyn.

Wonderful lighting - golden lights - and a soft feeling of autumn! Are the girls twins?
anniedog: The light was very beautiful in the late afternoon. I didn't get a close look at their faces but I don't think they were twins - just similar hair and clothes.

They picked the right bench to sit on, with that gorgeous warm autumn sunlight. good shadows again smile
anniedog: This is actually one of those parks in London that were former burial grounds so it is full of graves. It didn't seem to put them off!
Now this is very much a Wish I had taken this picture Ingrid
anniedog: Just knew I had to act quickly and catch this while the sun was on them and before they decided to move!
You couldn't have go much better lighting than this if you had put a requisition for it Ingrid.
anniedog: You're right - I couldn't have asked for more on this walk - just perfect lighting.

Lovely light and the shadow beyond serves to emphasise the pathos of the two girls contemplating the statue.

Best photo on SC today.
anniedog: I thought that accolade might go to yours! It was just a perfect combination of light and subject matter.
Nicely benchmarked
anniedog: Thanks Richard - benches always serve as a good subject.
This is such a great composition of light and shadow Ingrid.... the sun seems to caress the statue.... the girls on the bench add that much more to the scene.... well done....petersmile
Nice capture of a quiet moment.
Yes, I agree about the light. Number two is my favourite, Even though I know it's not about picking favourites smile. I find a lot of mystery in that picture
