photoblog image a glimpse of red 03

a glimpse of red 03

This week's photographs were all taken early last year for my final M.A. project Par Hazard, a series of books documenting my travels across London, though I have never shown them on Shutterchance before.  They are taken from Journey Three when I followed people wearing the colour red.

Now, my next question - is some of the writing stuff of the degree available on the net? Another nice exclamation mark.
anniedog: I haven't as yet put my dissertation on the net - I'd never actually thought of it. I have it as a Word Document but it's a 12MB file - not sure if I could email it to you but could try if you're interested in reading it!

A splash of colour in the landscape, especially red, is often a joy to behold Ingrid
anniedog: My sentiments exactly Chris. I'm drawn to it like a beacon.
Lend us your scarf luv the net's fallen off.

A lesson in seeing a picture and then executing it beautifully.
anniedog: Thanks Bill - funnily enough I took about 3 different versions at different angles, but this diagonal one was by far the best.

Something unusual/unexpected, caught up where it shouldn't be, or a quick emergency repair. The netting twists and subserves to the authority placed upon it.
anniedog: It is a very strong statement that this red sock is making!

Strangely interesting
anniedog: Thanks - it was visible right across the playing field so I went to investigate.
Another very interesting picture Ingrid. Nice series.
anniedog: Thanks - I'm strangely drawn to the colour red so thought it would be interesting to do a series based on it.

I like very much the swinging textures/patterns of the net -and the red cloth/ribbon sits like a red flower on the top of all shining intensively red in the sun. A very fine minimalistic photograph!
anniedog: Thanks Philine - I didn't think it needed any further information in the photograph as the red made such a strong statement.
One way of repairing a goal net.
anniedog: Indeed - we are an ingenious species!

This is fun, Ingrid. I keep wondering what you'll come up with next. smile
anniedog: That's precisely how I felt when doing this - I never knew what was round the corner and nothing was planned!
