Sad little thing - but the red & blue make a great shot!
anniedog: Thanks Elizabeth - it has seen better days!
Handy that the bin was blue.
anniedog: Even better if it had been green!
I took a shot a bit like this a while back and a guy walking past me whispered ''get a life''. But who cares ;-)
anniedog: Yes - I often get puzzled looks from people but then they're probably the sort of people that think a good photograph should be of something pretty like a sunset!

Oh, the famous back-end ripper model chair. What a find smile
anniedog: Makes you wonder what happened to the other part!

And how the colours of the chair and bin enliven the suburban street Ingrid. Bet it was the pride of someone's room once...
anniedog: They probably just nipped down to Ikea to get a replacement!

A fine contrast in colours Ingrid. At first I thought that I would prefer this without the cars but no, On careful reflection I am with you, the cars are in.
anniedog: I tried with and without and definitely think that it works better as an image with the cars to add context. I think people often crop their images too closely and don't give them space to breathe.

Classic colour combination - nicely isolated.
anniedog: Thanks - possibly even more striking in red and green.
I look forward to this weeks series Ingrid.
anniedog: Thanks Frances - four more to come!

A splash of colour on the grey damp wet streets, even though its broken or grubby, they look good together smile
anniedog: I love the way it's been left next to the waste bin, as though whoever empties the bin is going to cart the chair away too!
Those two colours really make a strong image together Ingrid. Ray recently had a series featuring a single chair in the road.
anniedog: Thanks Brian - I'll have to search Ray's archive and have a look.

It is still a chair although the backside has broken away. I could imagine that somebody will soon take the chair home and give it a cosy life in a warm, dry kitchen or somewhere. It is amazing to notice how many broken things can be useful for other persons.
anniedog: That is true, though in this case, it might prove a bit of a health and safety hazard!
I like this and other chairs, and your beautiful series on the red. Salud.
anniedog: Thank you very much - glad you appreciate them!
