Look at her there: all dressed up & full of life. I wonder who remembers her now?
anniedog: There's is something almost heartbreaking about seeing a photograph of a young person knowing they are now dead. Most of the pictures on these graves are of people in their prime - as though the relatives would rather remember them when they were young.
you look and wonder...what was her story?
anniedog: You can't help but wonder and be sad that someone so beautiful is no longer with us.

Love this pic! The way you framed it, the way you named it.The way you see things around you. Well done!
anniedog: Thank you for your kind words Micha. I find these graveyaards very moving, wondering about the lives of all the people buried there.

Oh, what a beauty- but "all that's beautiful must die"- I personally like the custom to adorn the headstones with a photo of the dead person -as in Italy, Austria...
anniedog: She is indeed a beauty - looks like a movie star from the 1940s. I agree with you - I love to see the photographs on the graves.

This is a sad but everyday life series, they so make you wonder about the person in the picture smile
anniedog: You can't help but wonder about them - the sad thing is we'll never be any the wiser.
She was certainly a fine looking lady in her heyday.
anniedog: And I expect that is how her relatives wanted her remembered.
