These are the saddest of headstones.
anniedog: In a way, and yet it also seems appropriate - we quietly fade into oblivion.

Now we can only guess Ingrid
anniedog: At least you know now not to use stick on letters on your headstone - get them carved instead!

Very much incognito - stripped of identity.
anniedog: Unless we are famous, that's how we'll all end up!

Almost forgotten - I wonder who rests here
anniedog: I like to think that someone still remembers.

In Loving Memory - only these letters I can 'read' - Bill is right - lisl is right: 'almost forgotten'. Today is the Holocaust Memorial Day - and not only on this day we feel that we cannot and will not forget the saddest history ... Yad va Shem means memorial and name - the name has here completely vanished - this makes us so sad - I hope it disappeared by weather and age, not by violence?
anniedog: I suspect that the letters just fell off over the years, although there is plenty of evidence of vandalism in graveyards. You are right - some things must never be forgotten.
