early morning mist
An experiment in stitching together in Photoshop for a project on panoramic photography for college. Four photographs taken just before Christmas as the sun was rising and dispersing the mist in front of my house

Nice blending- I would give you an "A"!
anniedog: Thanks David - I'll show this comment to my tutor!
Ingrid
Ohhhhhh. I want to learn how to do this, Ingrid. I LOVE it. A Likey for me!
anniedog: Thanks Ginnie - it's really easy. I'll send you a separate email as it's getting a bit late now.
Ingrid
That is wonderful Ingrid!
anniedog: Thanks very much Chris.
Ingrid
Hey now we know where all this mist originates from. Its that right spot in the picture. Great job!
anniedog: It does look like it, I know. Thanks for the comment.
Ingrid
And this is in front of your house, dear? Holy smokes! I wouldn't leave my home for days, sitting at the window, sipping wine... absorbing.
anniedog: This is what I see when I look out the window, yes! You might get bored with it if you had to look at it all the time - especially when it rains, and rains, and rains....
Ingrid
Fantastic panorama Ingrid
anniedog: Thanks very much Aussie.
Ingrid
This is so quiet and what a poetic place. This is what I call a lovely image, and a likey !
anniedog: Thanks very much - I'm glad you like it so much.
Ingrid
beautifully done...
anniedog: Thank you Kathryn.
Ingrid
(C)eamless so you get a 'C'. ...only kidding. Lovely Ingrid.richard
anniedog: Thanks, Richard, for your generous marks! This is just an experiment, so will just go in the workbook.
Ingrid
This is very nice Ingrid.
Job well done! Mine
anniedog: thank you Mine - glad you like it.
Ingrid
I'm with Ginnie here. I really want to learn this too!! Absolutely gorgeous Ingrid.
anniedog: Thank you Scarlet - will also send you the info - not a lot to it all as long as you have one of the later editions of Photoshop.
Ingrid
*sigh* that is almost everything I can say but I will add, phenomenal, topp class!!
anniedog: Thank you Astrid - this one seems to be eliciting a lot of excitement!
Ingrid
Incredibly well done, Ingrid! This is so beautifully executed, I would never have guessed. What a gorgeous scene, too. (:o)
anniedog: Thank you Roz - I was lucky to have this rather extraordinary phenomenon of the fog lifting as the sun was rising.
Ingrid
I see no joins so I would say it was a success, v nice view too.
anniedog: Thank you Nigel - no joins visible, I'm glad to say. Photoshop is a wonderful tool!
Ingrid
Great job Ingrid. I love it. Going to my likeys straight away.
What on wonderful view you have from your house!
anniedog: Thank you for your praise, Richard - glad you like it. Yes, the view is wonderful - the main thing that sold the house to us when we bought it!
Ingrid
Great image - you'd never know it had been joined up! And love the view from your house too.
anniedog: Thanks very much - it must be a success then, if you can't tell.
Ingrid
this works for me ,what course are you on at college.
anniedog: Thanks Mick. I'm doing a National Diploma in Photography - a 2 year full time course. A lot of hard work and commitment but thoroughly enjoyable. I have learnt such a lot in the last year.
Ingrid
Love this Ingrid, I have also being playing with stitch too. Not this go though well done.
anniedog: Thanks Tracy. I think I was lucky that the pictures I took lent themselves well to this kind of thing.
Ingrid
I really love this one. I recognise the location too, Ingrid. This format works very well here. terrific change of imigary from right to left.
anniedog: Thanks Chad. The sun was rising to the right of the picture, so it was much brighter on that side and gradually lifting the mist from right to left.
Ingrid
excellent pano crop, really brings out the landscape and the mist...
anniedog: Thanks very much - it is a view that lends itself to the panoramic format, I think.
Ingrid
very professional job Ingrid, and a beautiful scene to practice on
anniedog: Thanks very much - I'm lucky I don't have to go far to practice!
Ingrid
Wow I'm very jealous of your view Ingrid. Great shot - would have never guessed that it wasn't one photograph.
anniedog: Thanks Bernie - the view is certainly the best I've ever had in any house I've lived in!
Ingrid
Works a treat - I am impressed especially as doing this by hand in the old PS would take hours! hey what a wonderful view we have from our house ;o)
anniedog: Thanks Mike - I've never managed to do it successfully in Photoshop 7 without showing the joins. We shouldn't take the view for granted!
Ingrid
This is stunning, Annie. I love how the fog gets softer and softer to the left of the photo.
anniedog: Thank you Jewlya - the sun was rising on the right so was dispersing the mist on that side more.
Ingrid
Lovely panorama Ingrid. If you get the chance to have a look at Bob Moore FRPS, he does the most amazing panoramas.
anniedog: Thank you Bill. Thanks for the tip - I will definitely check that one out.
Ingrid
fantastic effort, i certainly can not see where the photos have been joined together, well done
anniedog: Thanks Tim - it must have worked then! I can't claim a lot of credit - just took the pictures, loaded them and pressed a button!
Ingrid
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
anniedog: Thank you Suzanne - I'm glad you appreciate it.
Ingrid
It's worked superbly well, what a beautiful panorama
anniedog: Thanks very much Ellie.
Ingrid
Successful experiment, I'd say. Did you have to get up very early to get this?
anniedog: Hi Ian - you should know me better than that! Early, but not too early as it was only taken a few days before Christmas, so I guess it was about 8.00 to 8.30. Thanks for the comment.
Ingrid
Beautiful, great mood, very pleasing to the eye, or is it for the eye...sorry, my English is rubbish...
anniedog: Thanks Aksel, and your English is really good, not rubbish! You were right first time 'pleasing to the eye'.
Ingrid
Fog and landscape form a superb scene.
The curved line of the field contribute to an exceptionnal composition. Very very nice!
anniedog: Sorry for the delay in replying but I've only just come across your comment! Thanks very much for your kind words - I'm glad you like the composition so much.
