little patch of sunshine 01
New series today. I am fascinated by the way that light falls on a surface and illuminates part of it. I have gathered together a selection of these observations of unrelated objects into this series.

I particularly like the way the branches are illuminated.
anniedog: Thanks Red Pen - glad you like it.

This will be a pleasure to me to be on this 'tour' again, light and shadow are the most facinating things...if only we can 'see'
You have seen this one very clearly, a great shot, love the background , she shapes of the branches are just so beautiful, nice job. (where was this taken)
anniedog: Thank you Astrid - glad to have you on board! Light is what photography is all about, as far as i'm concerned. This is the facade of a large church in Banbury, the town where I go to college, about 10 miles from where I live.
Ingrid
This will be a good series for all of us, Ingrid, since we need to pay attention! Good idea and great job.
anniedog: Thank you Ginnie - light is indeed very important to us photographers!

''Is this a dagger which I see before me,
The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee. I have thee not, and yet I see thee still.'' richard
anniedog: Well spotted Richard - I see you are good on your Shakespearian quotations!
Ingrid
Looks like a dagger for me too. Very well spotted and captured Ingrid!.
anniedog: It does indeed look like a dagger. Thanks Richard.
Ingrid
I almost wish it was only the branches that were illuminated. That said I like this and suspect I'm going to enjoy this series.
anniedog: Thanks Bill. I've got a variety of different shots, so there should be something for everyone!
Ingrid
I love the shaft of light on the pillar Ingrid and agree with previous comments about light and shadows
anniedog: Thanks Tracy - it was the actually the shaft of light that attracted me and then I noticed the light on the branches too. Glad you like it.
Ingrid
I love how the branch lights up. Thought you might get a kick out of this:

Ingrid
Absolutely fantastic AGAIN, Ingrid. Can't you wait for me? You have begun a new series and I have not quite finished my current one.
anniedog: Thank you Chad. Sorry I went off on my own, but I thought you would be ages yet!
Ingrid
Richard Trim nicked my quote!
anniedog: He just got there first Ellie!
Ingrid
Lovely stuff Ingrid - you are so observant!
anniedog: Thanks Chris - I have my moments!
Ingrid
i wouldn't have seen a possible shot there if i looked at it for a week but you did Ingrid and its great
anniedog: I'm sure you would Tim - you just have to attune your eyes to this kind of thing and you'll find potential images everywhere!
