little patch of sunshine 02
Clinging on for dear life in a dark alleyway, illuminated by a single shaft of light....

Another delightful find Ingrid
anniedog: Thanks Chris - glad this poor specimen appealed to you!
Ingrid
Obviously this plant knows exactly where to grow. Nice find!
anniedog: Thanks Martin - they seem able to grow anywhere!
Ingrid
Best photograph of dandelion leaves I've ever seen!
anniedog: Not really a very promising subject for a photograph, I suppose.
Ingrid
That such a 'normal' dandelion can glow in the dark.
Even these plants have the right to be in he SPOTlight once..great capture.
anniedog: Thanks Astrid - they are normally rather shy and retiring plants, until they burst into flower. I'm always surprised at where they manage to grow.
Ingrid
Beautiful ... richard
anniedog: Thank you very much Richard.
Ingrid
I think more people should look at the ground, Ingrid. I started after seeing your first 'boots' image. I rarely look up these days although it is a little inconviemnient as i keep bumbping into things and getting lost.
ps Clean the windows, you can't expect your husband to do it!
anniedog: Yes Chad, it is addictive. I always have my eyes to the ground unless I'm driving, when I have my eyes firmly fixed on the passing fields, hedgerows, streets etc. BTW, I don't do window cleaning anymore. I gave up when I started photography. Housework is so overrated. Anyway, what are husbands for?
Ingrid
Tenacious - clearly the rabbits haven't found it yet ;o)
You would think Chad would realise that you have better things to do ;o)
anniedog: They'd have a job - this is in an alleyway near college in Banbury! I have put Chad straight - what are husbands for?
Ingrid
I was right. I am enjoying these.I hope Mike doesn't tread on this when he cleans the windows.
anniedog: I'm still waiting Bill. I don't think, in our many years together, that I have ever seen him clean a window!
Ingrid
Weeds are so tenacious, Ingrid! No wonder they grow anywhere with even the tiniest of light! You sure did "capture it."
anniedog: They certainly are - they seem to grow twice as fast as anything you plant!
Ingrid
Really beautiful Ingrid. I like the diagonal sunray and the shadow!
anniedog: Thanks Richard. Glad you like the composition.
Ingrid
kill it ingrid .... it will multiply and try to take over the world
anniedog: I know. I have just donned my weedkilling gear this week and tackled an army of nettles!
Ingrid
Funny where you find life sprouting huh?
anniedog: Yes - in the most inhospitable of places!
Ingrid
brilliant!
i love em lone shaft shots
anniedog: Thanks - glad you like it.
Ingrid
Clever aren't they, plants, they always seem to manage to grow where least expected. Lovely picture too, the light is just about right
anniedog: Thanks Ellie. It never ceases to amaze me how plants manage to grow with minimal light, soil and water, and yet if you tried to plant one like this, it would probably be dead within a week!
Ingrid
a simple little weed, how the hell do you turn that into a superb image? get Ingrid to capture it
anniedog: Thanks for the praise Tim. All the weeds will be wanting me to come round and take their photos now!
Ingrid
weed killing gear - hmm methinks I would like to see you in this attire - does it involve red wellybobs?
