A very good choice of background for these shadows!
anniedog: Thanks Martin. Just a grungy old fence in an alleyway that I pass along most days!
Ingrid
Wonderful colors in this shot. I like that the word Hello pops out in the sun. Hello back!
Well done
anniedog: Thanks Kay. I walked along here this morning and there was no sun and I couldn't find the Hello - just a whole new load of boring grafitti!
Ingrid
Beautiful shadows on nice green shades! I really like it Ingrid.
anniedog: Thanks Richard. It's only nice when the sun shines on it!
Ingrid
Fine stuff Ingrid - with the shadows going in & out of focus. A bit of graffiti too I see...
anniedog: This is Banbury - there's always grafitti!
Ingrid
Interesting shapes from these shadows Ingrid, I like the bits of graffiti also.
anniedog: Thanks Brian - glad you like it.
Ingrid
Beautiful colours for a swadow pic. I like the fact that I wonder if it is silhouettes together with shadows - the graffiti is added bonus
anniedog: Glad you like the colours - even a grungy old fence looks good when the sun shines on it!
Ingrid
Great colours and texture.
This is a perfect background, the more I look the more I see.
anniedog: Thanks Astrid - the colours and shadows were what attracted me first, and then I saw that 'Hello'!
Ingrid
The 'Hello' in this picture takes it to a whole new level for me, but maybe I should change my reading material.
anniedog: I agree, Ellie, - I like the hello too, but can't say I share your taste in reading material!
Ingrid
Subtle.
richard
anniedog: Thanks Richard - subtle is a word I like when applied to photographs!
Ingrid
Hello to you too
anniedog: I do my best Bill, but have to say I haven't been out there much lately with my digital camera. I'm itching to get out and about again.
Ingrid
Someone has painted shadows on the fence!
anniedog: Well it wasn't me, honest! I wouldn't go that far to get a picture!
Ingrid
Err no, I've realised what you think and I don't think I've ever read that particular magazine. I should have taken more time with my comment, or at least checked it before clicking the button.
To me it looked as if the "Hello" was written by the trees, sort of mysterious and slightly spooky. Maybe I should move over to reading Mills and Boon after all!
anniedog: I only ever read it at the hairdressers! Mills and Boon - now that's going back a bit...
Ingrid
There's great texture in the backdrop and I like the interplay of the shadows and the graffiti.
anniedog: Thanks RedPen - perhaps the trees are trying to make their own graffiti!
Ingrid
I think that the flat inages work best for this series using shadow. After all a shadow is a flatish thing and shadow shows were always portrayed on a screen. This gives it the best of worlds.
anniedog: I never really thought of it in those terms, but I suppose you are right. Although a shadow on a 3D object can have interesting effects.
